Looking to the heavens, I wait for a light to guide me.
Flies, filth, and fire are all around me.
Just a little light is all I need to guide me to the heavens.
Where do I go?
How do I get there?
I wander.
I wonder.
I whisper.
Is there anyone there?

I like your poem. It reminds me of a problem I'm currently having with in this point of time. These days the stars at night are so bright. I gaze at them and I say to myself, "Now that's not fair." I'll more and likely die not ever knowing what is out there. The galaxies, the other planets or the other stars of different colors blues or reds or even purple... I'll never see any of these things with my own eyes. That is not fair at all. I'll never know the mystery because that is what the heavens are... a huge massive mystery... and we as humans are stuck here on this planet... in a world that thrives on egos or money. But, I look to the sky and shake my head. I hope there is a way to get there. There has to be a way and there has to be someone that knows how bad I wish I could see the universe... not just earth. I think I've rambled enough. You are very philosophical in this. Hopefully you find what you are looking for.
